Acceptable use

This page says what you may not do with ToolingTools, and is honest about what the service can and cannot do about it.

What is not allowed

  • Using the service to spread malware or to disguise a harmful file.
  • Using it for illegal content, or to infringe other people's rights.
  • Sending spam or automated bulk requests, or reselling the service.
  • Using it to overload it, or scraping it in a way that harms other users.
  • Trying to get around the limits that protect the service.

What we can and cannot detect

Tools that run on your device are invisible to us: the service does not receive the file. Server processing is temporary and its content is not inspected. We do not scan, classify or monitor files, and we do not claim to.

What we will do

We will respond to reports, slow down or refuse abusive traffic, and cooperate with lawful process. We cannot remove content we do not hold: results are made for the person who asked for them and are never published, so a report cannot cause a file to be taken down.
